Morywa is a five-piece Nu-Death Metal band from Slovenia, known for their stank-face-inducing soundscapes and borderline impolite, low-tuned grooves. Formed in 2014, they dropped their debut album Vamana Ira in 2016, setting the tone for their signature blend of groove and heaviness. The band draws influence from super-badass bands like Meshuggah, Sepultura, KoRn, Lamb of God, Morbid Angel, and other cool stuff in that vein.

Morywa has plowed through major stages like Metaldays and Winter Days of Metal, sharing bills with world-class acts including Kataklysm, Whitechapel and Born of Osiris. Alongside these high-profile gigs, they’ve become a staple of Slovenia’s local metal scene.

Their latest release, II (2025), opens a new chapter — a concept album featuring 10 tracks centered on man-made disasters. With II, Morywa pushes their sound further, combining storytelling with powerful rhythms, chugging guitars, and aggressive vocals. The band also dropped their first and second official music videos in 2025 for the single “Sgonn” and “Iron Dam”.
